💥 Joining as the very first Sales Engineer you'll be integral in guiding our prospective customers through our amazing product, working directly with them to get them set up for success on the platform.

As Sales Engineer, you’ll sit at the intersection of the Sales and Customer Success function, bridging the gap for our customers so they have a seamless transition from the sales lifecycle through to onboarding.
Sitting within the Sales team, you’ll aid in driving prospective customers through the sales pipeline. Your mission will be to deeply understand how their business works, what their company objectives are and become a trusted advisor; showing them first hand how Paid can help achieve their goals through insightful and powerful demos of our product.
As each new customer moves into the post-sales/pre-onboarding stage, you’ll work closely with each customer to understand their needs and specifications. Managing each configuration project, and working collaboratively with teams across the business to ensure each customer is successfully set up on the platform and ready to go live in the defined timeline.
We are a remote-first company and this role is London based, so you will work from home primarily but need to be able to travel into London to work at a co-working space 1-2 days per week.
What you’ll be doing
Lead on creating all product demos for prospective customers, and delivering visionary demos of how the Paid platform works, illustrating how our product can harmoniously sit with their current systems and articulate the value of Paid
Become a trusted advisor for our customers, understanding how their business works and what their company objectives are so you can advise the best possible set up on the platform
Proactively look and provide opportunities for customers when getting them set up on the platform
Own the configuration process for each customer once they have agreed to purchase the software, working closely with our product team and engineers to ensure the customer portals are setup to the exact needs of each customer
Develop relationships with prospective customers, becoming their Paid expert, so you are on-hand to handle any questions or queries during the sales, pre-onboarding and product configuration process
Work closely with new customers to understand the scope, timeline and objectives for implementing Paid into their business whilst ensuring Paid’s overall objective of swift onboarding and go-live is met
Deliver detailed handovers to our Customer Success Managers about our new customers who are ready to be onboarded
Map out effective processes and procedures to help build out this area of the business, ensuring we have excellent documentation in place
You should join us if
You have a knack for quickly learning how SaaS products work, and being able to confidently present to stakeholders at various levels in an enterprise
You’re a strong and effective communicator; being able to effortlessly switch tones depending on who you are communicating with
You have experience working with enterprises and excellent customer relationship skills
You’ve got great technical know-how, and experience working with developers/product teams
You’ve experience managing multiple customer projects and you’re confident in managing your own workload, being able to effectively prioritise and balance all elements of the role
You can build out logical and effective processes, to ensure that all our customers have a excellent experience during the demo and configuration stage
Bonus points if
You have experience working in procurement, and understand the pain point we are trying to solve
You have experience working in an early stage start-up environment
You have experience working knowledge of HTML for template configuration
You have done some form of coding even at a basic level
💸 £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience

What’s next for Paid
With four large enterprise clients including the likes of BT live on our platform, and more in the pipeline to start very soon, for the rest of 2022 we’re focusing on expanding our team, as we rapidly expand from a business perspective and start to explore internationalisation. Over the next six months we are planning to nearly double the size of our team, as we gear up to start thinking about raising our Series A in 2023.
